The Bordentown Township Police Department offers several services free of charge. Residency restrictions may apply.
FINGERPRINTING – fingerprinting is provided free of charge to residents and businesses located within Bordentown Township. Fingerprints are taken every Thursday between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
CHILD PASSENGER SEAT CHECK – Despite the advancement in technology and education, 64% of motor vehicle occupants 15 years old and under killed in motor vehicle collisions are unrestrained (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). In 1999 the National Center for Statistics and Analysis announced that 54% of the children aged newborn to 4 years old were unrestrained. A national study showed that of all the child seats installed, 80% were installed incorrectly. The Bordentown Township Police now have a child passenger safety program. Seats are checked by certified technicians to ensure that the seat is in good working order, has not been recalled, is installed properly and is properly fitted to the child. Should the child seat need adjustment, a technician will provide instruction for a proper installation. The Bordentown Township Police Department has loaner seats available should a seat be determined to be unsafe. Bordentown Township currently has four certified CPS Technicians. There is no fee for this service and is available to anyone wanting to have a seat checked. An appointment is necessary and may be made by contacting the Community Policing office at 609-298-4300 ext. 2134.
